Medicare is attempting to reduce double payments to providers and suppliers for items they are paying hospice to cover yet other practitioners are billing for. Medicare is proposing that patients electing the hospice benefit have all care paid for by the hospice. This will cause immense financial burdens for hospice companies if it should ever come to pass.
